How much does it cost to have Invisibra 3M Paint Protection Film installed on my vehicle?
There are many makes and models of cars, trucks, RVs, and boats. On personal vehicles, Invisibra 3M Paint Protection is most often used to cover the front portion of the hood. Invisibra Scotchgard Paint Protection Film is also commonly applied to painted bumpers, mirror backs, truck bed rails, door handle inserts, door edges, rocker panels, mirror backs, wheel openings, etc. Any painted surface of a car, truck, van, SUV, RV, boat or motorcycle that is susceptible to bug damage and rock chips can be covered with Invisibra 3M Paint Protection. Since the amount of film required and difficulty of application will vary by vehicle model, contact Classic Touch for recommendations and price quotes.
Will Invisibra 3M Paint Protection Film harm the painted surface if it is removed?
When the film is properly applied to a fully cured painted vehicle, it can be removed, usually in one piece, without damaging the paint surfaces beneath.
Does Invisibra 3M Paint Protection Film resist yellowing?
Yes, it resists yellowing because the film is constructed of thermoplastic urethane, a tough, conformable material that is covered by a clear coat layer. The film and clear coat layers contain UV protectants to counteract harmful ultraviolet rays that can cause yellowing.
Does Invisibra 3M Paint Protection Film come in colors?
Invisibra 3M Paint Protection is available only as a clear, transparent film. Application to the hood, front bumper and front fenders creates what is sometimes nicknamed a "clear car bra", or as we prefer to call it, The Invisibra. It's virtually invisible while protecting and revealing the full beauty of your vehicle.
What is the Invisibra 3M Paint Protection Film warranty?
3M warrants that Scotchgard Paint Protection Film, installed after November 1, 2003, will be free of defects in materials and manufacture - including yellowing, bubbling, or cracking — for five (5) years from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication, or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris.
For headlights, is there any risk of excessive heat retention that could cause premature bulb failure?
No. Our kits are made from a .040" material, which allows heat to be more efficiently dissipated than some other kits made from thicker material. Our material is also more flexible and provides a better, more secure fit, especially in areas of radical contours, while still providing exceptional protection at impact speeds over 120 mph. Even if you replace your stock headlamps with higher wattage bulbs, your Invisibra headlight film will continue to protect your car with no heat retention damage.
